G Gathering Communities form Empowerment Center

Communities form Empowerment Center

Five Portsmouth communities have joined forces to form the New Directions Empowerment Center, a program that provides literacy and computer training, youth leadership, recidivism education and events for senior citizens. The group recently held an open house to introduce the project to the community. The NDEC will be housed in Prentis Park's Martin Luther King, Jr. UMC church.
